Hi! Our school PTA fall under the umbrella of our state PTA for 501(c)3 status. Our own PTA EIN does not show up in the IRS search for 501(c)3. However, our state PTA does. We have a letter of acknowledgement from our state PTA that we are in "good standing" ... which we are.
Which EIN should we use for many of our donation requests? if we show our own schoo's PTA EIN, we will not show in an IRS research as a qualifying 501(c)3. If we show our state PTA EIN, we do...but we really are not representing our whole state PTA...just our own school....any info?
To keep the raffle moving along and to not waste time, the numbers are called out, taped to the item, and then the number is placed on a screen or poster for everyone to view. It takes too much time to wait to see who is the actual winner and if you have a large amount of items this can really extend your event time.
Vermont teddy bear never replied or sent anything to us but I only wrote tried once this past year.
Thanks for the tips list! Why are raffle items going to check out? Usually the items are claimed when the winning ticket is called if you require the winner to be present?
Wondering what type of timeframe people usually get for responses from businesses? I know it varies depending on the business. Just trying to plan when I should start assuming that unanswered requests should be assumed as a no-go. thanks.
