IOur auction is in April, it is our biggest fundraiser but the parents that used to run it have all moved on with their kids to high school and our committee is brand new. This forum has been a great help.
If anyone could fwd me the 120 list at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. I would be so grateful!
Found it difficult when closing the board and trying to navigate to the last page I was on. Had to keep clicking on the highest page # shown (besides the last page). Found a work-around. Before closing, look at the address bar. It will show something like: htt....ptotoday...om/boards/35-auctions/151264-the-ultimate-donation-list?limit=6&start=2394. With the limit=6, this means 6 posts per page. If you change that limit to 100 or another number (maybe 2394) and change start=1, you can get the entire board on one page! You would need to refresh or press enter for it to work. May take a few more seconds, but you won't have to keep changing pages.
Once done, instead of using search function, you can hit Control-F and type your search term in the Find box provided (mine shows up on bottom left) and you can go to each instance of the term searched for.
On Tax ID or 501(c)(3) issues... As some people stated correctly before, your Tax ID number may or may not be your tax exempt #. Think of your Tax ID as your organization's social security number (although it is public). Once received, an organization needs to apply for 501(c)(3) status and may receive a completely different number. In my case, my son's Boy Scout Troop is Chartered by a local Lutheran Church. Individual Troops/Packs do not have their own Tax ID #. Normally, we'd just use the church's Tax ID and have no issues. BUT our church's Tax ID is NOT our tax ID number. In fact, our church is under a Group Tax Exemption applied for and given to the head of the church group. In this case, it is a 4-digit number. It has given us headaches in fundraising as you could imagine. Disney will not recognize us and no matter who you speak with over there, you cannot escape going through the computer search for an ID. Other companies (Keurig) have been better, but you need to "talk" to someone. IRS cannot fix the issue. The Group exemption #'s are just not searchable by the general public. I've even tried to put in the Parent Church number and that doesn't work. So - it is what it is.
That being said, if anyone had Disney Tix they cannot use (User Name "South Florida" for instance), we can use them and maybe we can reciprocate.
After receiving our fundraising items, I will post the successes (hopefully!).
One idea - we contacted a limo company for a donation and instead of accepting a round trip ride and a comedy show (would've been a great prize), we negotiated a cheaper one that probably got more attention...A limo ride for a child (and his/her friends) to or from school. ENVY!!!!!
Disclaimer: Our Boy Scout Troop does not run the raffle. The "Parents' Club of Boy Scout Troop 298" does. Seems like Scouting does not endorse the boys having anything to do with "games of chance."
I would also like to request the list of a 120 companies. Sounds like the perfect place to start. Please email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
I would say a 100 is a good number to start with. People that go to these things like to spend money and the nicer the baskets are, the better off you are and the more money you will make.
