G.P. Cuddles... that stands for Guinea Pig Cuddles! She loves her and I think G.P. is going to do just fine. Remember my hubby? Oh yeah, not quite as thrilled, until he saw that look in her eye!

momo3, glad you're all safe! I'll take a blizzard or an ice storm anytime. At least with those, we generally have at least some time to get ready for it. And, I think that your #3 and my #1 could be somehow "verbally related";)

I have to agree, men can say they know, but please!! I have really stopped having kids! 6.15, 8.8, 8.12, 9.3 and 10.2. Last was c-section, thank the Lord!

Daughter #3 came home Monday and stated that she was not a super citizen for the month and had not clue why...yeah, right! Asked her teacher in front of her and of course it was her gift of gab! She says she was born talking and hasn't stopped. Some days I think that could be true!

Went about 45 miles to #2 son's football game, even though there were supposed to be storms. Got about 7 miles from field and sat for 40 minutes waiting for an accident scene to be cleaned up. This town is on a two lane road in the middle of corn fields. Anyway, get to game 30 minutes late, and the boys are loading the bus, rain and lightning. Drive back, without radio, in mother-in-law's car and she doesn't use the radio...anyway, rain so bad you couldn't see, no where to pull over, two lane road in country. Anyway, get back to our middle school and wait and wait, no bus, out comes the business manager for our district. They held the bus up because of the storm cells. Later found out that there were TORNADO'S in the area we just drove through! Yikes! Needless to say husband was home frantic, and we (mother-in-law, daughters and baby) were clueless of the warnings! Next time I am turning the radio on!

Get home and son #1 who is grown and lives in the next state was calling the house leaving messages, "Theres a tornado just five miles from home...where are you? Do you know there's a tornado?". About the same messages over and over. About every five minutes. Finally after about an hour we get home and he gets ahold of us and of course, I got chewed out cause "there were tornados and he couldn't get ahold of us and didn't know if we were ok". Oh well, it's the thought that counted. He also called both sets of grandparents too.

Oh, onaroll! Good luck with the guinea pig! Male or female? I can't wait to hear what your daughter names it. Kids come up with the cutest names.

We never had good luck with gerbils or fish. Cats, those things seem to live forever. Honestly, I would never have agreed to take home the 9 month old kindergarten gerbil if I'd know their little life span was 12 months tops. :(

Silver - glad to hear you're out and about with the neighbors. It's always good to know you're not crazy, or if you are, at least you're not alone!

No diagnosis yet. First ER doc was 95% sure it was gallbladder. But, nope. Second ER doc 95% sure it was musculo-skeletal. Uh, nope. Family doctor 95% sure it's (ewwww) shingles. It's hard to say just yet. We're on rash watch. Nothing like extreme stress to just wreak havoc on your body. You know what?!?!? Doctors always seem "95%" sure. I think that other 5% is room to say, "well, I have been wrong before." Whatever.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."
