Can anyone help??? Our principal has decided that he does not want an open forum portion at our PTG meetings, which he attends. He does not want to answer questions because he basically doesn't do anything and doesn't like when he's asked questions. What do I do? It's a private catholic school so the PTG is not a not a separate organization.

Sure, but the recipe is one of those sort of made up ones, where you throw in whatever you've got, measurements to taste kind of things..... For about a 10 person gathering, MIL uses:
Ingredients:
6 - 8 medium apples cut into bite sized pieces (use any kind of apple you like, even mix and match red and yellow)
2 cups Mini marshmallows or large ones quartered (more or less, it's hard to 'quarter' a marshmallow...)
red seedless grapes halved
1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans are my favorite)
Dressing:
mayonnaise, milk, sugar (approximately 1 c mayo, 1/4 c milk and 1 tbsp sugar - Miracle Whip doesn't work well with this recipe. It really needs to be mayo.)
Mix apple pieces, marshmallows, grapes and nuts in a large bowl. Combine dressing ingredients and pour over apples. Stir until coated.

Hey onaroll! It's chilly again here ~ but no rain. We could use some. It looks like it'll get here by the middle of next week.
It has been quiet, hasn't it. All of the regulars are laying low and nobody new is jumping in. Of all the posts, page 2 was the last one I jumped into ~ and I was nervous about it. I hope folks feel welcome. Let's just throw a virtual party. That'll bring folks on over. How 'bout a bonfire/potluck?
Count on me for the apple salad. Mmmmm I love apple salad!

I hope everyone out there is doing all right. It's almost been too quiet around page 2. Cold here and we'd love to send our 3rd day of rain down south to all who need it. I've got to pull out the gloves for tomorrow's soccer game! Everone have a great weekend:)

onaroll - that's exactly how my mom always fixed acorn squash. Of course, when I was a kid, I wouldn't touch it. Now I'm a big fan!
Brrrrr It's a chilly 48 degrees here in Central Illinois. I'm wearing a sweatshirt. This past weekend must have been Summer's last big hurrah before it was over. It was nearly 90 degrees Saturday and Sunday. We're fully into Autumn now. That makes me very happy because it's my favorite season. I even got pumpkin bread at the coffee shop this morning to get in the seasonal mood! Mmmmmmmm Maybe we'll go to the apple orchard this weekend.
