I was write behind you on the committee of me, myself, and I. But I had it easier cause I had parents that made crock pots of soup, salads, and desserts. I did have 3 parents not show up with salads and had to make the mad dash to the grocery store deli. I hate when that happens! Everyone else came through and our President did help to set up our smaller school.
We have staggered lunch times so I really had to be there to keep bowls filled, etc. We served over 100 staff members and they always are so appreciative of being recognized this way, so I know my hard work is worth it.
I have such big plans for next year already, I'm going to start looking for volunteers in September!

Yep,
never have really adjusted to regular hours after working late nite or 2 jobs ( now its kids, nap whenever, kids and school, find time for my business, sleep 3-4 hrs, and then surf the internet or run 3 miles, then nap, work on degree or whatever else I didnt get done)

I still get 6-7 hrs sleep just never in a row.. [img]smile.gif[/img]

As for the rain glad to help, hope its stays there (I love rain) I'm just sick of it this year

Line em up for me too. Not only have I taken on Region Director for next year (I am really happy about it, really) but I volunteered to fundraise chair for my own school. I really want to do a jog-a-thon (we did it at our old school and it was UBER successful) so if you have an idea, you better be ready to back it up as a volunteer right??
I've already got a bunch of local donations (those who know me, know I'm a donation queen) but I still have to get the go ahead. Got some other stuff going on in my personal life too but I'm not allowed to talk about here (moderator says) so it's good to fill my time with other stuff...

OK ladies and gents, pour me a strong one! We're trying to sell our last 40 yearbooks, plus deal with Teacher Appreciation Week. Today there was a luncheon after early release. Friday is breakfast for the staff....and my daughter's Brownie troop is planning a "Comforts From Home" supply drive for our troops, plus and company picnic on Saturday.

I can't even remember what day it is this week.

Good news is that 3 girls from our troop and myself are going to be on 2 local radio stations, 1 tv station is sending a crew to film us and a local magazine will be doing a story about our efforts! Woooooo Hooooo!

Life, I'm loving every minute of!
