Now there's some logic at work! I'd have trouble being a police officer 'cause I would just want to whack somebody like that on the head with my nightstick to see if I could knock some sense into them!
5am? I go out at 4 or earlier. Our Toys R Us always advertises one time but opens about an hour earlier to keep the crowd down.
Just a reminder to those that shop, please don't leave your sleeping children in the car. 2 years ago, a lady got called out of our local Target where she was shopping because an officer found her 3 kids sleeping in the car with it running. Her argument was she couldn't let them see their Christmas presents and she left the car on to keep them warm.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Okay everyone, this round's on me! I raise my glass and wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with treasured family time, a delicious meal, and even a big day after bargain for those brave souls who will venture out at 5am on Friday. May we all take the time to think of all the people who make our lives joyful and the opportunities and blessings of good fortune we have been given.

I was good at chemistry, but biology was my true passion. It all just fascinates me. My best friend says I should have been a doctor. I think I'd prefer to be in a lab studying cells, or out in the wilds studying birds, animals, and plants. I instead got a degree in something I thought would make me lots of money. I see that passion in my son though, so maybe I can live vicariously through him. There's that 20/20 hindsight again!
The movie tickets were a great gift, but sometimes I think people don't think about how and when someone will be able to use something like that. Just push the other negative things out of your mind and enjoy the time with the kids. Hey maybe you could call the person who gave him the tickets and see if they would watch the baby!!!
