You are soooo lucky. I am stuck with my kids until Thursday. They wake up every morning and keep asking me "what are we doing today?" The older two keep picking on each other. I want to be in one of those cartoons where I can knock their heads together and make them see stars.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Okay, I love my husband and children more than anything, but I was SOOOOOO grateful for them to all go back to work and school today. I feel like I was in the movie Groundhog Day only my scenario was that I kept cleaning the kitchen and it kept getting messy again!
Snow!!! It rained so our snow is pretty much gone. Couldn't even kick the kids outside. But snow is back in the forecast for this week. I know a few winecoolers will do me good. My 5 boys are driving me bonkers. We did go to the movies today & saw Narnia. It was really good.
May we all take some time to just stare at the lights on our Christmas trees and remember what this season really means, read a holiday story to our children, give our family and friends hugs and well wishes, and if you have the fortune to live in an area with snow, lie down in it and make a snow angel. I've got some rice krispie treats, rum balls and some sugar cookies and a couple of beers (I'd have more to share but I'm not sure I'm gonna survive 3 weeks of vacation -- the boys are already driving me NUTS plus the roofers arent done yet.)
