does anybody remember 14 years of marriage? well me and my hubby had our 14 anniversary on the 9th. we dated for 4 years before that. he said after a total of 18 years it should be down hill from now on!

crewchief- congratulations on 23+ especially getting married at 17. that's nice to hear. you guys should be proud of that!

it's funny how guys fall for that i'm just a girl thing, works everytime. sometimes you can really find out how little some of them know. that's when its really funny! i just stand back and let them talk. boy would they be embarassed if i started to tell them about what i do know!

20 years ago, shawn, i was in high school, dating my hubby!

mykids-my nickname for my van is: THE LOSER CRUISER got that off of the show 8 simple rules with john ritter.

20 years ago? I was married! I got married at 17 and after 23+ years we're still going strong.

mykidsmom - Don't tell anyone but we tow all of those Mopars around with a Chevy Silverado....

Oil change guys drive me crazy too. I pull the "I'm just a girl" routine on them and they feel sorry for me. I say, "Oh, gosh, my husband said just the oil and filter. If you do anything else he'll be soooooo mad at me" :(

I'm totally playing with them but it works and I don't have to haggle about what does and doesn't need to be done.

Well...*sniff* my Dodge GRand SE Caravan can carry a ton of kids, 250 lbs in backpacks, throw in a friend that overslept and the dog  and we MIGHT get 10 miles to the gallon!!!

My van drives awsome on the open road! If I could afford to have two I would keep the Dodge for vacations and drive a SUV (stupid utility vessel) here in town. My other therory is the van just likes to get away too! :D

I got a brochure for my dream truck, Chevy (sorry I'm trading) Tahoe in dark blue-not midnight blue but close- seats 8- 9 (unexpected guests seating) and has a working radio...NO DVD!!! Five kids and one DVD....if the United nations can't get the world together I'm not pushing five kids to agree on one movie!! HA!

Of all this talkj reminds me I need to call for an oil change....I hate going, convincing the nimnod changing my oil I do know about the enging and trans and....I know stuff! Jerk. I even made him redo the change when he put in 10W 30 when the van runs better on 10W 5. He told me the older engine needed a heavier oil....I told him to change it.
He did....and his supervisior (a gal!! :D :D :D ) agreed with ME!!!

Oh I am avoiding so much work :(

My husband and I used to belong to the state's Fbody (camaros and firebirds) club. We both had camaros and would take them to the track every year. One ran 14.1 and the other was up to 11.8 when we sold it. Pretty good numbers for 3rd gens. It was fun having matching cars until we had too many kids for the cars!

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
