Scott mom I feel your pain, last year we had hired a new principal to start July 1st, he came in and met the kids, at the board meeting I presented him with a school shirt and planner, he talked with the staff a few times and announced the end of May that he decided not to take the job! UGH!!! We had to start all over again and our new principal was hired in August, three weeks before school started but he is GREAT and now I believe everything happens for a reason! He never did give us back the shirt!!!

I consider winter and spring breaks my only vacations because I refuse to do anything during those times. For the last 2 years I've found out I needed to get a surgery in the spring but I put it off until staff are off duty at the school because otherwise I wouldn't get the chance to get better.
I just found out we are getting a new principal. You think they could have told us before school was out so we could make the appropriate arrangements for meetings with the new person. I hate feeling like I'm expected to coordinate so much for the school and the staff but I'm always left out of the loop when this information is given out. If I didn't have a relative at the school I wouldn't even know this information.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
My hubby told me the other day when he came in my office..."SCHOOL'S OUT CAN'T YOU STOP DOING PTO STUFF FOR THE SUMMER???" Uh, NO!! was the only thing I could think of to say.
When does the PTO get summer break? I won't get one, we have meetings planned for this summer. What WAS I thinking?
