Did someone say black raspberry coffee cake? Any left? I LOVE anything black raspberry.
Hey mykids, we had the speakers in our house blown out by Def Leppard. It was a during a party of very civilized adults who were trying to relive their youth. Imagine that!
What did they say on the news? 29 years since Elvis died. It's hard to believe. I think I was in 6th or 7th grade. I was 12 years old. I remember my mom crying a lot about it. Two of my sisters are huge fans and one goes to Graceland from time to time. I was never a huge fan but the phenomenon is interesting to me.
mykids, stay safe. Tornadoes are so scary!!!
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

Mykids, I'm from Kansas. When I was about 10 we had like 5 tornados in 9 days. We lived by an airport and my dad would take me up on the roof of our porch to watch to perfect view. He used to tell my mom the house was so old if the tornado hit we weren't going to make it so he wanted to see it come! Those were the days. I haven't tornado watched in years. It's not as fun when you have kids to worry about.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
We used 2 listen 2 Elvis and Victory at Sea '45's with my Mom till I moved out of the house.... Market Square Arena (Indy) the last venue Elvis and Led Zepplin played

I love it a simple sugar cookie won second! Those cookies looked so pretty and you could tell they were from her heart. Not fond of the "winner" I've made nicer looking gingerbread homes....okay I had days but that is really not something to try in an hour!
The sugar things are crazy!
Shawn...Elvis has been in our house for what seems eternity, but with the anniversary of his "death" my hubby is watching ALL/everything/anything Elvis has done. Did I mention our third son's name is Presley (we call him Mr. Presley).
I make pretty spritz cookies that make some of those look like home ec projects! Oh well.....
oh my! tornado sightings! VERY east of my house but cool!
