226,000 people signed onto the KZLA ubb in 5 hrs (so House is just a disgruntled @ss) after the last song was played on KZLA -- the closest country station let the DJ's come on the next day to explain what happened (pretty much at 945am the staff was told of the format change and at 1005 - Prince was wrecking my airwaves) unfortunately there's the string of mountains surrounding us that block the 2 closest country radio stations -- sad thing is the KZLA country bash is scheduled (Miranda Lambert, K Urban, T Kieth, T Clark, K Chesney and some up and comers and noones know if their tix are anygood -- I smell a class action lawsuit in sue happy SoCal)
We watch the cookie and sugar baking contests (I still dont get the giant sugar sculptures that break as they move them -- you cant eat it -- so waht's the point) but yeah I'd like to do the cookie, cake, gingerbreadhouses one and walk away with 1-2 or 3rd and a bucket of cash

CC, just remind him we moved at the same time and are in the same position and we didn't go on vacation! Of course, as my husband says, "You'd think time was standing still at home we she's got PTO stuff going on!" But I don't feel I've been doing enough on that front either.
I'm watching the cookie challenge right now and I'm wondering how these people even got on this show. I'm no professional baker, but most of those cookies looked just nasty and one wasn't even a cookie but cookie dough. I want to know how I can get on that show and take the $10,000 away from those ding dongs.... and use it to hire someone to finish unpacking for me or maybe a nanny/housekeeper so I can finish unpacking.

Sorry about your speakers mykids. You leave near Pike's Peak? Lucky!! My husband used to be a test driver for Diamond Star/Mitsubishi. He made several trips up and back down in Eclipses. There's a particular Japanese man who will never speak to my husband again. And - it's difficult to lie to the police when smoke is roiling off your brakes.
Change of subject - We're keeping the kitten. Her name is Mickey and she's beautiful! Hubby loves her most, as I knew he would. I came clean last Friday night. We were already in a huge screaming match so I figured I'd fan the flames and fess up about the kitten being in the house. No point in wasting a good hissy fit on something as stupid as unpacked boxes so I figured I'd give him something worth being mad about. Now they're best buds.

Loved Alton when he was goign through Colorado! We live hour or so from Pikes Pike and the drive up is not fun! I want to find the places he ate at! REALLY wanna drive to New Mexico to that place with the swinging BBQ! YUM!
And you know what....I would love to have a radio...even a cheap boom box on my dash would be nice! My husband blew out my speakers on the way home with the kids from a trip to the mountains. Def Lepard has a new meaning in my house!

Shawn - I was listening to the radio the other day out of Nashville and they were talking about that radio station. How Odd!! Anyway Jerry House, the DJ here on WSIX, used to be the DJ on that station some 20 odd years ago. He said that there was only one listener to that station now --- he must have been talking about you!! He said that out there no one really listened to country. You should go to www.wsix.com

Last night I watched Alton Brown's Feasting on Asphalt and I wanted a Cherry Mash all night! We don't usually have candy or store brought type treats in our house so this is not something I had on hand. When I went to the gas station this morning I picked up one for each of us and my kids looked at me like I was crazy, but they were really good. My only complaint about Food Network is it makes you want to eat when it's not the best time.
