I'm feeling a bit better now. I have a few volunteers, still looking for more officers. I told our principal that I was NOT planning anything until I had help. He wants us to continue playground renovations. No way! I'm not killing myself this year. I'm hoping that someone comes along that wants that job, lol.
CC, I've got a whole 5 gallon cooler of margaritas sitting here on the table, pull up a chair.
Sold my car last night, but still don't have my new one-it's all a big mess. So now, we're coordinating getting people to and from places with only one car-another big mess. If I can just survive the next week and a half, the big events will be over, school will start and things should smooth out. If the dealer thinks it's going to take more than couple days on the car, I'm going to hit them up for a loaner.
d - WOWEEE!!! Congratulations. That is a very big deal. I hope we don't lose you once the rest of the world realizes what a great writer you are. Remember us when you're famous.
luv - critical mass reached. Got an extra margarita?
Classes start Monday for Shorty and Tuesday for me. Fun fun fun....
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

Okay, is anybody else reaching critical mass right now? Between all the preparations for school for both my kids, the parent group's fundraising planning, trying to find volunteers to do ANYTHING, never being home because the kids have events, a new assignment at work, and the car deal swirling in the toilet, I'm ready to just explode. Oh yeah, there's also the party at my house this coming Friday night that I got "family obligated" into and my hubby thinks we should go AWAY this weekend for our anniversary. I finally told him yesterday that I don't need to go anywhere, that I'd be fine with just shipping the kids off to Grandma and Grandpa's for the weekend and staying right in our own house. There would be many margaritas involved with that break!
d, that is fantastic!!!! Congrats!! All of us here have always enjoyed your writing and now even more people will get to find out how terrific you are! Let us know when it will be published, so we can all see it in print. I assume they have a website....
Pop the cork on some champagne and let's all toast our resident "soon to be published" writer!
Okay-this is cool--have to share since I burden you all with my writing all the time--but it looks as if the Washington Post is going to publish a little article I wrote. I mean they're even going to PAY ME for it. How cool is that. When I submitted it I got the "we've had a ton of submissions...thank you for your interest in your country etc" and then yesterday they asked me to clarify a couple of things and are send me a contract. A CONTRACT....I mean that sounds important doesn't it!!!!
