So I decided to brave the temps (zero today) and pick up some books. I picked up Queen Bees and Kingpin Dads and its first on my list. Well off to bake some chocolate muffins .... hmmm chocolate frosting or vanilla? Hope all of you in the northeast are hanging in there ... spring is around the corner ... right? Here's a nice hot Irish Coffee for you.

CC-I thought of you today. I was browsing the Valentine's clearance (planning for next year for PTO) and found vanilla creme Peeps. Let me tell you, I'm not a marshmallow goo fan and don't usually enjoy Peeps but those are so good I can't wait for Valentine's next year.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Well, I did what I could. I sent out nearly 50 degrees to various locations. I know this because it was 71 on Monday and only 23 today!

Thanks, everyone for the yummy virtual treats. It sure smells good in here! I opened a package from my niece and nephew and there were home made Valentine Sugar Cookies and hand made Valentines for us. What a treat that was!!!

Send one of those slices my way, that sounds wonderful. I'm sick of this cold too. I can take the snow if you can at least go out and enjoy it. Too cold for snowmen, snow angels, snow forts, smacking my kids in the back with a snowball then running for my life....hee, hee!

CC I am still waiting for those 10 degrees .... brrrrr ... today you will need to send us 40 degrees in order to get us in the 30's. While others are sick of snow I am sick of the extreme cold ... I did not sign up for any 'extreme' anything (sports etc) and would rather not start but dang this is the coldest weather I have experienced in a long time.
I started baking this afternoon just to stand by the warm oven ... I am done with cupcakes and working on some bread now. Herb garlic butter on a nice warm slice of bread anyone?
