Hmmmm Any artistic license that puts Viggo on the big screen for three hours is fine with me!
Arrrgghhhh Three weeks until the movers show up and I'm starting to stress out a little bit. I'm really very excited about moving back 'home' but the process is starting to wear me down. I hope we stay put for a while this time.
Right now I'm running a bath, pouring a glass of wine and escaping for 30 minutes...... I figure I really have 15 until someone comes looking for me but that's OK. It'll take them at least another 15 minutes to find me and by then my toes will be just wrinkled enough!

My kids want to see the "Bridge to Terabithia", but a friend recommended they read the book first, which she read in college when getting her Ed degree. She was going to see the movie this weekend, but had a feeling it wasn't going to be quite like the book.
My kids and I had just had a discussion a couple of weeks ago about "poetic license" when we were watching Matilda. My son's class was reading the book and he was kind of miffed about the movie changing things.
My friends were talking about "Bridge" and how disappointed they were. They were expecting a Narnia type movie (given the commercials I would have too) but I bought my 8 year old the book and he went slamming through it only to reveal it was nothing like that with no little critters or anything. Very different from the stuff you see on TV and also they were disappointed with the tragic nature of the film....
Ah well....
It's interesting to see how society has viewed men and women over time. Using the internet, if you look up quotes about men, there are few and mostly pertain to two specific subjects (and I bet you can all guess which two.....). But with women, there are an overwhelming number of quotes and the subjects are widely varied. I guess we'll always be a mystery!
We saw Ghost Rider yesterday. It was good for a Marvel superhero movie. My boyfriend Nicholas Cage was yummier than ever. And he rocks the leather biker suits. Mmmmm mmmmm mmm
For something completely different, we saw Bridge to Terabithia today. Hubby is now mad at Shorty and me and said he'll never let us pick the movie again. He has trouble tapping into his sensitivie side. He loved the movie, just not some of the elements of it. I give it two thumbs up.
