Honey can you fix the gas grill while we are gone? It's not heating up properly.
Sure.
You leave for 3 hours to take the kids to their various practices.
Upon returning you ask is the grill working?
Yup - turned it on and it heated up to 300 so I turned it off.
You begin to make hamburger patties and turn on the grill. Get outside and the darn thing doesn't heat up past 180.
Dear - I thought you said this was working?
Let me look at it.
After 20 minutes of tinkering: Hun turn on the electric fry pan.
Nice. I am on my second glass of Merlot.
So how was Saturday for the rest of you?

Rainy, dreary here but perfect for spring cleaning. We've already packed up 3 1/2 bags of the girls clothes for Rescue Mission, now I'm on to clean out the closets, storage bins, attic (which is two finished rooms but you'd never know it!) I'll tell you, we just moved in this house 2 years ago and thought we had cleaned all our junk out. It's amazing what you think you should keep...then, you wonder why on earth you kept it.

Thanks for the giggle DLF. Dang that's a lot of popcorn ... got any theatres in the area? Maybe they can help you out in exchange for a mention.
Still rainy ... who needs work anyways

"PTO President, can you provide popcorn to the classrooms that have 80 percent participation in every activity for spirit week."
"Sure" I said...80 percent participation is pretty high. How much could it be.
TWO HUNDRED NINETY SIX BAGS OF POPCORN LATER....
Next year it's gonna be 100 percent or no dice. Been popping popcorn since 9 am. Who needs stupid spirit anyway...
