Yup you guessed it ... hit the caffinated coffee this am and lots of it! I can't believe it's almost here ... the release of school for the summer. Just received a note home asking for all those 'lost' library books and missing homework. I finished my last PTO shindig last week and have the summer free. Ahhhh - a break is looming near and just in the nick of time! :o As I look out the window at out extremly warm and sunny day I am finding it hard to stay focused on work ... why fight it is what I am thinking ... that's it I am outta here ... where did I put that suntan lotion anyways?! Have a great day all!

LUV - Your 'slugger' sounds awesome! It's always great to see a team play a good, clean game and triumph over less deserving opponents.
I think I'd like that book you're reading - as I sit here with my Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate Skinny Latte (the only "skinny" thing in the room....)
Tonight will be hard. Sometimes the right words are no words at all, just a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold or a really great, feel it all the way to your core hug from a good friend.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."
"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat but in the true perfection of one's character."
Thanks d, it did get better. Talking with my friend and then staying in for lunch and reading gave me quiet time to pull myself together. Visitation is tonight for my friend's husband. It's going to be hard and I hope I can even begin to say the right thing.
I have the next Babe Ruth living at my house! My son went to bat twice last night and both times sent it to the fence. The first one the outfielder threw in as my son rounded 3rd and the catcher literally laid down in front of the plate to stop his slide. We told him next time to hurdle the guy. The coach sent him because the next batter up has been in a slump, so it was a risk(the batter struck out too). His 2nd time it was a high, long pop. We thought for sure he had it, but the tall outfielder jumped up and caught it at the fence. I told him he just needs about 3 more feet on those hits and then he won't have to worry about running hard, or sliding, he can just jog around the bases and enjoy the applause. It was a great game: they won and the team they beat was a bunch of snots with a bad attitude so it was extra nice.
Another saying from the book: Stupidity should be a federal offense. But then we'd have to build a lot more prisons.
Oh yeah, the main character is a HUGE coffee junkie, especially the frou-frou kind!
Luv--sorry--hadn't seen your post on the yukky morning -- hope it ends better than it started. Hang in there...I left the phone off the other day and of course the school had to track down hubby. He was frustrated but you know that's why we are a TWO parent family.
