Concession stand food ideas

For those of you who use the crock pot for hotdogs, how do you keep your buns warm? Just microwave as you go? We have a hotdog warmer and steamer that we use for football concessions, but when we do baseball we have a small trailer that we work out of and the break down and cleaning of the hotdog machine is a pain, so wondering if I would be better off to put them in the crock pot and do them to make clean up easier. Our biggest sellers are barbecue sandwiches, hot chocolate, hotdogs, popcorn, pizza, airheads, nachos, laffy taffy, sourpunch straws and candy. One thing we did that everyone seems to like is we have a special for the day, people feel like they are getting a great deal like for barbecue sandwiches we will do a can drink or water with sandwich and chips for four dollars. Something about offering a special people like.

I use a crock pot for cooking our hotdogs in. The stay plumper longer and won't burn if someone should forget to turn of the rollers or turn the rollers on too high. Good luck. The whole pickle idea does sound unappetizing but from all the comments that I have read I think I am going to go with the idea at our next sports function.

For Fried Orios, I use the double stuffed Oreos (they are better) and freeze them. I use buttermilk pancake batter and I add some vanilla. The batter should be thicker than cake batter. I put this in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Dip the frozen oreos in the batter. Cover both sides . Fry in 375 degree oil until lightly browned on each side. The outside will be a little crisp and the inside will be gooey. YUM!

I have a question about serving cheese sticks in a high school concession... What kind (if any) Marina sauce do you serve with the cheese sticks. How many cheese sticks in an order and what price do you charge?

A Walking Taco... Do you let the customer apply the toppings or does all Walking Tacos get the same thing (taco meat/lettuce/cheese/tomatoes/sour cream. How about taco sauce, do you provide that. What price do you ask for the Walking Tacos.

I have run a High School Football concession stand for the past two years. I have added Funnel Cakes and Fried Oreos to our menu. I can hardly keep up with the orders for Funnel Cakes and Fried Oreos.
