Hey momof3boyz --
I'm a dadof3boyz. Why end of year? Couple of factors there: 1. Gives us most of the school year (using our several difft tools, like the magazine, this site, etc.) to get the word out to folks. It would be really tough to get people to an August/September event, as its so hard to reach people in the summer months; and 2) exhibit hall factors. Our exhibitors make it possible top have our events at such a reasonable pricetag, and the fall is simply crazy, crazy for them. Without them, we'd have to charge 3 or 4 times as much per attendee.
All that said, we continue to explore options for getting parent group leaders together in different ways at different times. Stay tuned...
I wish you guys would come a little further into the midwest than Chicago. It always seems like the midwest is left out or has to drive for 14 hours!
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

We were actually in Dallas the past two years and had a great time. Circumstances (OK -- hotel availability) conspired to have us in different locales this year, but we're looking forward to getting back. We love Texas!
I do love Chicago and miss it! NOt sure about California but if Menzy will be there that even sounds better!
I will definately be there! I'm already looking into travel arrangements. Because of the distance, I'm going to have to fly, but I wouldn't miss it for the world.
