Im with Metzy....I myself have never been but am planning on attending whether I am still president or not. Im going to see if anyone else wants to go with me....has to be a motivational thing and I am hoping to meet some of my buddies from page two!!
One day, two day... Hell, I'd love a week long conference... but realistically I'm just glad that there will be one reasonably close to me for even just one day...
My husband said that one day seemed too short, but that if nothing else, I'd be getting to meet in person the people I have come to view as family and friends. I expect to learn stuff, but mostly I am looking forward to meeting my buddies and of course, I am looking forward to meeting you Tim!
Tim, I'm just concerned that with the reception networking time at the end of the day, everyone will be in a rush to get home and it won't be as much fun and helpful as the two-day, but that might just be me. Also, I guess I don't understand how having one-day conferences allows adding a 5th location? But I'm glad there will be another location this year since I think these conferences are so helpful. Hopefully, you'll find a way to have two-day conferences next year while keeping 5 locations. In any event, I'll be attending SOMEWHERE!
It was just for you, Christine Glad it works well for you.
After getting so many "why can't you have one in Boise" emails, your note is a pleasure.
Yeah, the cancel was two years ago in LA. Thanks for reminding me (it was the worst month in the 6 years we've been doing this thing ). This year, response for San Ramon is already strong. We'll be there
I believe the city you added was San Ramon, CA and I very much appreciate that. Especially after having to cancel another CA conference last year (or was it the year before). I hope you get enough response to keep this one. You planned it perfect for me, my mother lives very near there and it's right at the end of spring break so I can take my children to visit Grandma and make the conference all at the same time!
I'm really looking forward to this and, like I said, I hope you get enough people to register so that it is not canceled.
Sucking up is definitely OK. Glad you enjoyed conference.
Going to one-day is a trial this year. Doing so did allow us to add a 5th city this year, so we're helping more leaders.
On the exhibit-hall time -- we will still have at least breaks of dedicated exhibit hall. And like last year, we'll also have the cocktail/networking reception at the end of the day. Even though that will be the end of our conference (rather than the middle), we'll be hanging out and that networking can go on as long as anyone wants, into dinner, into the lounge....
