I received a mailing for the PTO Conference today. I can't believe how much cheaper it is compared to spending $1,500 or so to send two of us to the National PTA Convention. It looks like we are going to get workshops and the exhibit hall. Me thinks our PTA is going to save a lot this year at convention...I love the choice of regional locations. Great thinking on the PTO's part. We usually send 2 to the National PTA Convention because of the tremendous expense. Now, we'll be able to send 4 times that, or more.

If only it were so simple. Those others get to take off from work to go; their expenses are paid by their employers; and they're paid for the time they're at the conference. And they're generally *not* the primary caregivers for their kids (if they have them).
