Also started contacting Authors today - got an almost immediate response from Janet Evanovich stating she regrets that she can't supply donations anymore. Following the advice I found on another site, I replied thanking her for getting back to me and asking If I provided the book, if she'd be willing to sign and return. Got an (again almost immediate) reply from her agent with an address to send it to - he said he'd watch for it at that address and make sure it got back to us safely before the event. Might be a good tool to use if authors state they can't donate!

I wanted to thank everyone for this list, we've received a lot of great items. I was able to find the donation information on a website that Lee Vecchiarello mentioned wasn't there: www.plymouthcards.com/pages/donation-requests. We received a $50 gift certificate for our silent auction. Very surprised by the quality of the cards since I had never heard of this company before.
