Jet blue was very quick to tell me no...probably within 24 hours. Have not looked into southwest.

Has anyone had luck with Southwest/AirTran doing school benefit donations lately? AirTran used to be a good donation option a few years ago, but it looks like the new guidelines under Southwest do not include schools.

i had one more suggestion..... alot of times i love what the kids have done but it matches nothing in my house so i ask myself ... why buy it if i wont display it.... this year we did tree skirts and xmas wreaths. they only come out once a year and everyone loved them... the art department took it one step further and decorated 20 xmas trees each with its own theme.. ornaments done buy the kids....huge hit with the parents!

Some ideas for class projects we have done in the past are...
two adirondack chairs.. one guy harvey themed and the other lilly Pulitzer. makes it easier for a parent with only a girl or only a boy only have to buy one chair.
Also two years ago i bought a cheap white table and four chairs at ikea. i had a mom paint a heart, diamond, club and spade on the seat of each chair. I took b/w pictures of the kids in both 3rd grades classes and arranged them on top of the table in a checkered pattern. each 3rd grade class on opposite sides. then i took clay and had them roll the clay into balls and use their thumbprints to flaten them out to make checkers. Half the class had red clay and half had black.... this table was hot hot hot!!!
This past year i found an old ugly painting at a thift store and had the art teacher paint over the canvas in a think white paint. the canvas was 60x48. our theme was stars and stripes... i had the kids make an american flag using their hands as the stripes in red and thumb prints for the stars. This was really cute.....
i have other ideas if you want more.....
