I looked at the guidelines again to make sure that nothing had changed since November and the only thing that I see is that nursery schools and preschools are not eligible.
It never hurts to try. I was turned down last year for the same event. Some of the things that I was certain I would not get have been the first ones to give me a yes!
Our auction letter reads that the proceeds are going to the general operating fund, however when I am filling out forms I try to be more specific in the key items that we hope to be able to do (for example last year's event was earmarked for technology upgrades).
I applied for American Girl about a month ago and have not heard anything. Our event is March 7. Do you think I still have a chance? Does anyone have a contact I can follow up with?

For the person looking in NYC... try sending letters to Top of the Rock, Empire States Building, Chelsea Piers, Dave & Busters in Time Square. Oh, and the Ride (they gave to us last year but this year are looking to do only local NY... (I'm in NJ).
Has anyone had look with 100 items for a goody bag - so far I got a nice gift from margarittaville, happy family and some local restaurants and spas but was hoping for a few more things. Any hints appreciated. We are a preschool in metro Philly doing a silent auction/dinner in MArch. Thanks, Lynne
