Ha, I know that feeling Ellen. Our event is still 3 months away. Last time the bulk of the items came during the month of the event. It really fluctuates I guess.

I noticed a few posts where people were having issues having their EIN's verified over the last several days. I've had issues trying to submit applications to Disney, American Girl, Keurig, Best Buy, etc. over the last few days. Just wanted to see if anyone has had success with those? It's getting frustrating!

Andrew, that made me laugh. I was on such a high when the donations were coming in but recently nothing has been coming in the mail - our event is Friday.... So it's very disappointing to open the mail now.

Update on the Elite Island Resorts... I may have been too hasty to rave about them. Our board president quickly pointed out that you can get packages from Elite Island online for $4500, which include both flights and all-inclusive meals. So if someone has to buy the flights & meals, they're really not saving anything (and probably paying more, since they have to buy the package). Sigh.

Just to pass this along, in the span of the last two days, I've gotten approvals from both Premier Cancun Vacations (5-day, 4-night certificate for resorts in Cancun) and Elite Island Resorts (4 7-day certificates to 4 separate resorts). So both are still active in donating.

I'm pretty excited about the Elite Island Resort ones. We'll be sure to let our bidders know about the flight/meal expenses (a substantial amount, but it could still be a good deal with the free rooms for 7 nights). We've got a few top-dollar bidders, so maybe one of them will be able to invest a lot.

My committee will still need to debate on using Premier or not. At least the certificate officially says this: "Although our resorts do offer timeshare memberships, Recipients of the Sunset World Gives Back vacation certificates are under ABSOLUTELY NO OBLIGATION to attend a presentation." If we give that to our bidders, and make sure they're informed ahead of time, it still could be a good auction item.

At the very least, getting to advertise that we have trips to Disneyland, Cancun, and the Caribbean up for auction will certainly be nice.
