I wanted to let everyone know that for the WDW park hopper tickets you don't have to be a 501c3. They donate directly to schools, you just need your NCEES number.
Oh, has anyone ever received the Seventh Generation donation? I just sent in the request for the 3rd time but haven't heard anything yet though we still have time. I wonder if I should just skip it next time.

Andrew - We received Canvas on Demand last year and it came a week prior to our event. It is a great prize..
Also for next year I was wondering if this has worked for any of you but go with a group of parents to a mall with donation letters and go to every store. Are they more prone to donate this way? any thoughts?
We received canvasondemand last year. They sent a nice package with a $100 gift certificate. But I applied a few months ago for our June event. I haven't heard anything yet but I figured they'd just sent it in May again if our request was accepted. I don't remember getting an email last time.
Hope everyone is still having great success. Our non-profit auction already has 22 items promised for it, mainly consisting of businesses found online and celebrities (definitely worth mailing some of them asking for help!). Now if the rest of my committee can find a good amount of local items, we'll be in great shape for our auction in August!
I was reviewing some of the companies that we have sent in requests for, and I had a question about a specific one. On February 26th, we sent a request to CanvasOnDemand, and immediately received an email response back thanking us for applying. It mentions on the website that we'll hear from them within 7 days, but it's approaching a month now and nothing. I was curious if anyone else who had received an item from them (or even had been denied) had been contacted in a certain time frame.
I'm just debating when a good time would be to re-contact some of the companies we have not heard from. I know most say if you don't hear from them, they won't be donating, so I'll cross them off, but there are some that state they'll let you know either way whom we haven't heard from yet.
Ask parents to donate a bottle of wine that is special to them, do a little write up and put into a nice binder and auction off an instant wine cellar! If you can get a chef to donate a dinner you can pair wine with that and hold it the winning bidders home.
