This is my first year solicting for donations. Green Mountain Coffee's website couldn't validate my Tax Id, so I sent an email and attached my W-9. I got a response asking for a "copy of the actual 501c3 certificate. Can someone tell me the difference and how to obtain the certificate? All I have is the W-9.
When asking for donations at local stores (like Walmart, Target, Publix, etc...) do you usually call or go to the store in person? Do you ask for a manager? What do you say? I am great at written correspondence but no so much in person.
Also, my organization is state wide so members and attendees are not always from the same city as the store I would be requesting a donation from. Does this make a difference?
Betsy we get our cello wrap large roll from a local florist. They are nice enough to sell it at cost to us. They lend us their cutter as well. We have the cello left over and use it to wrap teacher appreciation gifts etc..it comes in handy.
Thanks for posting. Good luck at your event. Got no from otter box too. Pearl paradise stopped their donation program over a year ago. We received it before they stopped. It says on their site they were going to have a new charitable program but nothing yet. La sparks sent us 4tickets. Chives USA sent 2 tickets. They donate to southern california charities.
