just wondering if anyone has every heard of fundraising with hot airballoon rides? fundraisingrides is the place I found, and spoke to them yesterday.
It seems they give you one free ride, but you start the bidding at 150. pure profit on the 1st one you sell. You can then sell other balloon rides and once you meet a specific dollar amount, you keep the rest as profit. I am going to bring this up at 2 meetings I have over the weekend and see what the reaction is like.
I am wonderinf if anyone did hear about them, did you use them and what was the reaction?

I am planning our schools first tricky tray in 10 years. We are in the NJ/NY/PA area. It is just about six months out. When do you think we should start soliciting? If anyone wants to send me their list of local places to solicit, I would really appreciate it. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Someone mentioned getting certificates from local restaurants and gave examples like Wendy's, Pizza Hut, Chili's etc. Don't forget about mom and pop restaurants and businesses. Giving a certificate to a school auction is a great, inexpensive way for them to get the word out about their restaurant and support their local school as well. Who knows, maybe they have children attending the school and think they're too busy to get involved.
We do:
Front of the line pass for car line
Free Dress (we are a private school, charge $20/person so it is unlimited)
Name the street after your child/family (i.e. the driveway for caarline -we put up an actual street sign with the family name)
Movies with a teacher (usually open to 4 children)
This is all I can think of right now..will add more if I remember what else
