I am getting donation request letters ready to mail out....what address do you put on the return address labels? Should I put the school address or my personal address?
Thank you for your help!
Ok, so our event is just about 6 months away. I was wondering if people have success during the holiday season getting donations now? Is it just better to wait until the beginning of the year to seek out more donations? I figure those of you who have done this many times before might have some insight on this question.
Have you all had luck with grocery stores? We have a donated gourmet cooking class but the winner has to provide groceries, and thought a gift card would be good for that.
Also, for those who have auctioned a kindle/nook/ipad that your organization purchased, what was the return on that?
A lot of business are closing ranks as far as what state you/they are in or if you're in one of their processing areas. Trying to get things such as food, products is easier than getting tickets for me. Having to wait for some donations request because my event if still too far out. plus having a specific idea on where the money will go and not in a general slush fund helps in a BIG way. need more ideas for the LA/TX/MS area. any hints?
We have a very professional letter along with an easy standarized form to fill out...but we are not having a great yield. The other reason is that our auction is still 5-6 months away. Any help in NJ/NY would be so appreciated!!!!
