Thanks mykids, that hit the spot. Turns out I didn't need gum. I got myself all calmed down and asked some very straight questions about budget and such and our media specialist had a great list of her needs. We tabled the vote until next meeting, but I've got a recommendation in mind to make a motion for and some like minded folks who will go along with me so I think we're okay. It really looks like we'll be able to cover the computer purchase without taking the money from the media center. I love it when life works out! I think I'll take a nap now!
What are the chances we can get someone on here for pedicures and such? I just finished setting up the holiday store, and my feet are killing me. I don't think the school board believes in padding the carpets.
I will donate my espresso machine. Just using a frother for your milk makes better hot chocolate.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Here you are Luv...we were dumped on (7 inches is quite a bit for the Denver burbs) so you are probably seeing the rest of the snow cloud!
Can I offer a come back? "well, we need the library if your precious computers crash!" I think we had a harder time looking for info for a paper my oldest did for her World Religion class on the internet than looking in a book at church! She was looking for info on Saints. My hometown almost lost FFA because the Principal wanted better computers....the FFA class offered a computer class also, very interseting.
Here is my secret to avoiding sticking my foot in my mouth...gum never go to a meeting without it!
