Oh CC, I'm right in that boat with you! I'm just getting started this week (have been out of sight with the girls being back in school!). But isn't it a great feeling to be part of a class again? I love getting my fuzzy, old brain to learn and stretch. Trust me, in a matter of a few weeks those kids are going to be clamoring for your help!
Realized after sitting in my Spanish class for 20 min that it wasn't due to start for 2 more weeks! Then went into my math class, and lets just say I gave a good rendention of a deer in headlights. sigh.....last math class, last math class.
Thanks to all for the encouragement with my oldest heading off to middle school. Seems I was worring (me?) for nothing - she LOVES it! She loves the freedom, the classes, all of it. We've had a few gliches - mainly the erratic enforcment of their dress code (was allowed to wear one thing last week, got called out for it this week.), but all in all it's been great. Youngest is just over the moon with her teacher and loves 2nd grade. she feels like one of the "older kids" now.

Not a huge pro ball fan but I LOVE the whole Appalachia State v. Michigan. I'm so for the underdogs. When I went to bed last night Middle Tenn was hanging in on Louisville...either way--even small college spirit was lifted!

Day 1 was a huge success! My 4th grade girl (now in the middle school) has declared that she LOVES the middle school and does not want to ever step into the elementary again..."It's too small". Oh, what a big world!
Daughter #2, 2nd grader, loves her teacher and classmates but was a little upset that there was no actual work the first day!! :rolleyes:Yeh - I'm planning on holding onto that little statement for using in the future, like when she has 4 classes of homework to do in one night. LOL!
I have to admit I was pretty down when I had to drive to work alone (no one to drop off at the sitter's) and then drive home...alone (no one to pick up). I got home to a very excited dog and then I was still alone for 45 minutes until the girls got in from school and then - I loved the sound of the door banging shut, shoes tromping through the house to the kitchen (I couldn't even spit out the usual "Take your shoes off in the house") and backpacks dropping onto the floor.

That is too funny, d!!! I love your boys and I don't even know them! They would get along great with my often devious son. Of course, the world might be in grave danger if that ever happened...
