Metzy, I'm buying your drinks today. Also, I baked you a big chocolate cake. Here's a fork, dine away! I will now go make you voodoo dolls of all your board members and you can stick pins in them to your hearts delight!
There is a truck stop on Highway 75 about 35 miles north of Topeka, KS that has one. My son pointed it out to me last time we went north. My mom says this is why moms are supposed to have thick skin but that only takes you so far, that's why you have us to talk to.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Oh, Michelle I needed that wit two weeks ago when a certain board member had me so wound up I would have choked her had she been within reach. You know the type-one of those people whose anal retentive inability to accept anything different than the status quo causes something that could be beneficial to fail. This is the second time, this year she has interfered in something to a point where she has ruined something that could have been really wonderful. She called me to answer my questions about the situation and had this very nervous giggle the whole time. I think she may be scared of me-and rightfully so. I have had it and will chew her up and spit her out the next time she tries anything. I'm taking off my soft, fuzzy mommy gloves and putting on my old running the business, managing uncooperative people gloves.
Forget the margarita, I need a double shot of tequila and some AC/DC Back in Black on the juke box!
Two tall double Stolie Mary's on backhoed(you want those spicy or not?) and a Bahama mama for ScottMom.
sipping on her third glass of Hot Buttered Rum and feeling warm and tingly, almost drops the Stolie but instead makes them stronger....
I accept this award! I'd like to thank my aunt whose fine art of sarcasm and wit helped me through a few jobs, for Don Rickles for being the original smartas* and my son, who keeps me from using those 4 muscles when I really, really want to!!
Well I spent the last four hours doing an early Thanksgiving with some of my family that I only see every 2 years. I think I'll take a Bahama Mama to remind me of warmer climates and days without children or PTOs!
