OMG! Don't EVEN get me started on writing nmaes inside of stuff!!!!!! Oh one of mine even think about walking in the door without one of their coats....not good!

Other stupid stuff (trust me...you'll laugh!) I finally got permission from the school to run the Box Tops and Cambells Soup Label programs!!! A different mom has chaired these for years but never asked for permission! CRIPS! So being the good little mom I tend to opt for :D I met with one of the Principlas and got his blessings! Meantime (he didn't know this) I had a check to deposit and labels to trim!!!
OOO 7:30!! Better kiss some kids good-bye and make sure I have a couple little ones still sleeping!

you know who would have fun here? Venzamama...miss her!!!! Wonder how Singapore is treating her? :(

I found this and thought we might have a night where we recite poetry... Friday is joke night, so how about Sunday for poetry night??? Here, I'll start:

GONNA BE A BEAR Author Unknown

In this life I'm a woman. In my next life, I'd like to come back as a bear. When you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that too.

When you're a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you're sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs. I could definatly deal deal with that.

If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that will have hairy legs and excess body fat.

YUP! Gonna be a bear!!!

Welcome, Welcome Downriver and Soccermom! Critter, you should stop in more often. I was starting to fear that we had become an alcoholic clique!! :D Seriously, the bar is open to everyone.

I tell ya, after some of our meetings I would LOVE to hit a real bar but 1. it's the middle of the week and I don't recover well. 2. The whole board is Mormon (I am too, just not a very good one-

Thank God for this place! I'm bringing in some deep fried artichoke hearts from my once favorite restaurant- Papa Joe's. My friend's dad used to own it, his recipes etc but they sold it and I was informed tonite that "they were making things FRESH now" and you know what, it sucked! (Papa Joe kept us fed when we all had our apt out of highschool and that man made everything FRESH, fresh indeed!)
They did not however, ruin the deep fried artichoke hearts. But seriously, why do you make pesto with alfredo sauce??? Ick!

Think I'll have one of those long island ice teas. I'm having a "why ruin a good thing" moment- stupid non-italians!

Thought she'd get ahead
With a member of Duran Duran!

That is offically my theme song.
Anyway, I love it when someone says why isn't our phone system bilingual at my meeting. I f I have a look of disgust on my face, it's because I'm trying to figure out what this has to do with the Fall Fundraiser or the Parent Group when we have a School planning meeting that all groups are represented at and is open to anyone willing to give up one hour a month. So I say, could you please bring it to the SPMT meeting where it can be properly addressed by the people who work the phone system. So I'm told by this person that they are just trying to help. I want to scream at her to shut up so we can get done and that will help the most but I say that it sounds like the other committee is more what she is looking for and of course she doesn't go to that meeting. AAAHHHH! If my son doesn't come home with his coat, I call the teacher to make sure it is still there and go back and get it so he has something to wear the next day. What's so hard about keeping track of your kids? Or at least writing their name on their stuff?

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Would you beleive that I've NEVER had a long island? Let me just tell you, it seems that the majority of the venting that goes on here is universal issues...that's one of the things that makes this so great. Like your lost and found situation...whatever happened to a little word called responsibility? If you notice that your child came home shirtless...wouldn't you ask what happened? (but then who would you blame?) snicker, snicker... People...ugh!!!! Here's my #1 gripe--I just love it when you're in the middle of the meeting and everyone in the room has an opinion about EVERYTHING. I just remind everyone "it's a COMMITTEE REPORT, people. If you want an opinion on how to run it, join the committee! we have an agenda, people!!!" gasp, gasp. Most of the ladies just laugh...they all know that I'm a b!@#$--I just can't take the whining. So I beg them all to just fire me. And my principal just laughs. SHE'S EVIL. I'm not EVEN joking--she's the true spawn of satan. Okay, enough bashing for now. Have to run to soccer practice again--of course! Have a great weekend, ladies!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and being an 80's Jersey girl...my love is (drumroll, please)....BON JOVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
