I would really love to have that honor but not sure i have enough.....oh who are we kidding!
I'm a few more years younger than both CC and T. WHAM, Madonna, Van Halen, OOHHH Moni Moni was banned (that darm chat...) and the BIG thing was vidoe DJs. We hired a DJ that also had a huge screen for playing videos! SO awsome! Homecoming was so awsome! Music was so much more fun in the 80's. Sure there was the "dark" but looking at Ozzy Osborne and Alice Copper now, shoot, they look silly compaired to stuff that is out there today.
I think i have finally convinced my 15year old that I am aware it is 2006! It's just hard when SHE tells me about the day Presdient Regan was shot as if I wasn't aware it happened! AS far as techy stuff...she has a new scientific calculator...good for her. I found the batteries and the power button...good enough for me!
Thanks for the vote of confidence T! When we got new phones last weekend my son tried to talk me into getting the new Chocolate phone for myself. I said it'd be a waste of $170 because I wouldn't know how to use it. But I'm cool this week because I'm planning a Paintball Party for his 13th birthday.
We're close to #50!!! Who's going to take the honors of turning the page?

There's hope crewchief - I'm only 3 years younger than you and I've learned it! I just decided I couldn't let all the great technology pass me up, plus I need to keep up with my 10 year old (mainly to make sure she stay's safe). I also figure what I can't "figure out" - that's what the ex-hubby is for!

I'm just a techno-idiot. I remember getting an 8-track player for Christmas when all of my friends got casette players. And I remember going in to Best Buy to get a casette after they got rid of them and only carried CDs. I said, "Hey, what if you don't have a CD player?" The salesman actually laughed at me and pointed at the CD players on the shelf. So now my son has an iPod and laughs at me because I don't even know how to turn it on!
It's shameful, I know. I'm only 41. It's not like I'm 90!!! I'm just sure that my son shakes his head at me in the exact same way I used to do to my parents...... It's the condescending pat on the shoulder that I could really do without.

I rarely buy cd's anymore - most of my music is downloaded, stored and played off my Mac.
I hate buying a cd and only liking 3 or 4 songs and the rest is trash - that's why I love being able to "preview" an album, then buy what I want. iTunes offeers that ability and its GREAT!
