Oh yeah, about the Big & Rich song. I'd never heard it until this morning on the radio. But their website says it's on the Horse of a Different Color cd. I have that cd. I guess I never listened to the whole thing??????

I can't believe nobody's mentioned REO Speedwagon yet! My CD player currently holds a mix tape of wildy varied (and leagally downloaded) mp3s, Walk the Line soundtrack, Alan Jackson's Gospel CD Precious Memories, Duke's of Hazzard soundtrack, REO's Greatest Hits and Jim Steinman's Bad for Good album.

1981? Aye yi yi.... I was a Junior in high school in 1981/1982, graduated in 1983. My 5 years younger sister got trapped in the Techno Pop/Punk Rock era.

ahhh - come on! Gotta love the 80's!

MTV (August 1981 - I even remember the party we had the night it premiered), one hit wonders, electric drums and keyboard guitars.

But I do agree about rap - most of it strictly forbidden in my house. Whats really sad is I hear my mother coming out of my mouth: "...will not come into this house", "you can't buy that cd because I haven't/or have heard it", and my kids fav "it's not appropriate for you". It's the mothers curse taking effect.
