CC - we probably crossed paths last night! I also was online forever trying to hunt down that d@#n song- without any success!
Shawn - where I live we are dealing with day laborer "gathering" places. Several cities have official gathering places and my cities officials are wanting to put one in here. My ire: if they want to all in one place - why can't you register them so that they can pay taxes? pay ins? pay into the system that is being drained at an alarming speed? I also take issue with the schools having a influx of children that need "special" services because they don't speek the lang or aren't up to speed (especially with this NCLB act in place). I don't want to deny the children the education. We just need to figure out how the parents are going to help shoulder the cost with taxes and so on. Just my opinion - (and you know what they say about those ......).

shawn , i bet that new naval super of yours could tell the pta something about chain of command and how to manage people (not that you cant). where did they learn their people skills.
7.7 billion on 15% - and they're not even 'legal' (ie paying taxes). What a huge drain on your education system.
I'm torn. As a parent, I know I'd do anything I had to do to give my children a decent life. And if the US is gift wrapping it, why not take advantage? I can't blame the immigrants. I agree that something drastic needs to be done. But what?
T - I wasted a lot of valuable time on the internet last night. I didn't find out anything different than the above posts mention. I did learn one thing, though. There are a lot of crazy people out there! And I think I just might be one of them......

Thanks! Went on the site - seems I'm not the only one stumped  . I'm sure that it will be figured out eventually - I'm just impatient when it comes to music that I like. I want it immediatley, not later! (great lesson to my girls, huh!)
Also, if you want a great laugh - listen to the new Wied Al cd. My oldest just bought it off of iTunes and it is hysterical!

Who is or what is the song being played in the new LG flat screen TV commercial? I thought it was by the band Goldfrapp - but I haven't been able to confirm that. It's driving me crazy - I want the song, but just cant figure it out.
T-
I have not heard this song, but apparently, you are not alone. I was on a site called adtunes that is dedicated to music in advertising, tv etc. (I know, there is a site for everything!!) There are some people there who are stumped as well. Goldfrapp does do a lot of commercial work-no worf if this song is one of them.
