I like Ronnie! That's similar to what my husband says to me, "The great thing about you is that you don't always know what you're talking about but you say it with absolute conviction." That must be why I'm such a good Liberal! (conservative liberal....)

ScottMom - all in one day? You're Wonder Woman!

Cold and rainy here today. Son is home sick for 2nd day in a row. It'll be a good day to get caught up on laundry, dusting, vaccuuming. Anyone who wants to come join the party is welcome!

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

Bizymom, welcome to the party. Any friend of CC's is a member of the family! Smores sound really good with the Irish coffee I just helped myself to.
The laundry is caught up and the house is clean, but there is are ton of PTO odds and ends to get caught up on. (AAAHHHH!!!!) I seem to be able to do one or the other really well but not both at the same time and usually it's somewhere in between. And the great PTO ideas just don't flow as well as they used to before I was burned out and sometimes I feel like people love to add their two cents at meeting unless it's actually needed. I did get 2 volunteers to coordinate the bake sale we're having with our Santa Shop.
I got my 3 year old a play kitchen second hand and he played with it all day. He even made me lunch and offered to do the dishes with it. I hope those ideas stay with him as he grows up.
We finished our Box Tops contest (just in time for submission) and managed to collect $300 worth. We don't usually do that in a year. It seems I'm just rambling on now. I don't know what I would do without you guys for my late night jabbers. Thanks for being there.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

One big happy family - that's exactly what we are. We put the fun in dys-fun-ctional!

Mmmmm - one and only benefit to a gas logs fireplace - instant s'mores. What a yummy bedtime treat. And now I'm off to bed.... g'night.....

Thanks for the welcome. I've been lurking awhile but didn't have the courage to join in. Finally I decided to just jump in with both feet. It took me awhile to get used to email and love it now, so I decided to give this a try. Yes, I'm behind the times but I'm learning.
I've really learned alot from all the posts and am trying to help our new president, but it's taking both of us to do what Crew did by herself. I look forward to getting to know everyone better. This really seems like a family spread out across the country.
