It is gorgeous here right now. I love the VA weather....all the seasons but these very nice days that surprise you. I love the winter snow...and it doesn't stay any one way for too long.

Williamsburg is gorgeous--so glad they enjoyed the stay.

Had a ton of fun with the ladies last night. We just sat and had beers and gossiped and giggled and googled -- all the g's. We thought about pulling up our shirts and videotaping the first "Old B#@%&*$ Gone Wild" video. Wouldn't be a big winner I don't think...We did do the "I swear I won't breathe a WORD of anything I say/do tonight to anyone" so don't tell anyone about the video . d

Hey d - my dad and step-mom just had the most amazing vacation in Virginia. They stayed in the Jamestown/Williamsburg area. Dad's been there so many times but it was step-mom's first visit. She loved it! Since Wisconsin is in the middle of winter right now, the mild Virginia weather was a blessing for them!

Of course I was kidding about the Auburn wardrobe - orange is terrible for my complexion. Red's my color.

I think I'll make up some fantasy team name and get some shirts made. My son thinks the Peoria Pirhanas would be great so our colors can be blue, black and white!

Laughing in Virginia (says the woman who wore her Rutgers sweatshirt to Walmart). Here it ain't who but just rooting for someone and you fit in. Further south further defined. And if having an entire Auburn wardrobe is the price for fitting in I'm afraid I'd just move ...d

I'm just going to go out and buy a whole Auburn wardrobe (not as difficult as you might think since they make everything in Auburn Orange) and just wear it every day! I don't know anything about college football but I have noticed that one major division between Alabama and Auburn is that Auburn fans are blue collar and Alabama fans are... um..... not. I always have to side with the working man!

At least I said 'peee-can' instead of puh-cahn when I ordered my pecan waffle. ;) I'm learning!

Oh CC :( !

Give it time, give it time! You will get the hang of it. Maybe not blend in, but at least know when to wear colors!

OHGh, I can't believe it but I don't have a single Bing in the mix. I have Kenny Chesney's All I Want for Chirstmas is a Real Good Tan, for one example. Il Divo, The Blenders, Brad Paisley, Jessica Simpson, The Disney Princesses. I'll probably donate the Disney one to Toys for Tots instead. ;)

Oh man did hubby and I make the biggest Southern faux pas today!!! We dropped the shorty off at karate and went to Huddle House for breakfast. It was like every movie you've ever seen where strangers walk into a diner and everyone stops talking and starts staring. Slowly they all went back to eating and talking but the sideways glances and subtle head shakes continued. I couldn't imagine what horrible thing we had done. Then on the way out I noticed the newspaper machine and read todays headline - 71st Annual Iron Bowl - Alabama vs Auburn. Then I realized that everyone - everyone - else in the restaurant had on Crimson or Orange... except us. I was wearing a lovely emerald green sweater and hubby was wearing his rugged, rust colored Gander Mountain sweatshirt. We're just never going to fit in around here. :(
