Could someone please tell me why we get sooo wound up?
My day really started badly. My youngest has been have a personality conflict with a reading support teacher (she is a very high level reader and this is suppose to be helping her strech her comprehension of the text). He's really gruff and not her cup of tea, but she enjoys the class.
Here is the problem. Last week she was suppose to turn in homework. She did the work and had it in her backpack (I know this because I put it in the pack). She got to school, took it out (like she was suppose to ) - then the reading teacher didn't show up for whatever reason. The folder was left on the table and the day went on. The next day her suppl. reading class was held and she couldn't find the folder. Told this teacher and he sat her out of the group on the floor, at the table (beacuse he didn't belive she had done the work since she didn't have the folder). Now fast forward to Thurs for the 2nd supp. reading group. Folder with homework still hasn't been located (house has been turned upside down, so has her desk. Nowhere to be found). She tries to explain, but he basically tells her that it's up to her to prove she did the work  ! (This little piece of infor didn't come from her, but my ex. So I knew nothing of it until Sunday night. ) We finally find the folder - her teacher had accidently picked it up with other folders and put it with a stack of her stuff.
So after Sunday nights reveal (which by the way shocked to beegees out of me - she has always told me everything!) I went to talk to her teacher today. I'm in the middle of explaining the whole thing and then it happened. I started cyring!!!!!!!!! I couldn't even belive it! I was mortified. I really couldn't figure out why I was so upset. So I ploughed thru (bless her teacher. She just basically ignored the tears!) and we worked out a stratagey (sp?) and I left.
It took talking with my best friend to realize why I got so upset. I was upset because she went to her dad instead of me! How completely ridiculous is that. But, there it is. Sad, huh
