Hey everyone - Shawn has noticed a serious lack of holiday cheer on the boards! He's right, we've been a bunch of Scrooges. I've been too busy for my own good and haven't had a chance to enjoy the Spirit of Chirstmas. So, Shorty and I are dropping everything else right this second and we're making cookies. Give us 20 minutes and you'll get a scent of Chocolate Chip and Cut Out cookies wafting through here!
Shawn, here's something to cheer you up! Let's go caroling!! Everybody now.....
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Good tidings we bring to you and your kin;
Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding;
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding;
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding and a cup of good cheer: Refrain
We won't go until we get some;
We won't go until we get some;
We won't go until we get some, so bring some out here: Refrain
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Scottmom, sounds like you had a great evening and sitting on the couch watching a show with the kiddies sounds really great too. I found out yesterday afternoon that no one else will be in the office on Thursday. Making me think of taking a little me time.....no hubby, no kids, just me, some Christmas music and an oven full of cookies!
My night was great. We had an extremely nice dinner. Ran into friends we hadn't seen in forever and family we had never met. My husband is the opposite of me. He likes to sit in the corner and watch. So we picked a table in the back and were eventually joined by 2 couples and had such a fun time that we were some of the last ones to leave! My high school economics teacher was there (keep in mind he is only 8 years older than me) and we were talking kids and family and it was a good time. My husband told me I like my volunteer jobs way too much but he's glad I'm not that bubbly and fun at home. Today I have so much to get done for our dinner Thursday but right now I'm watching Wonder Pets with the 3 year old.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Cc= sorry to chime in a little late with congrats! Finding the right house in one day - quite the feat.
We've had quite the weekend. My youngest took her first belt test in Karate. All went well and she broke the board on her second try! She is now a gold belt and aiming for black!
Unfortunately the fun ended there. My oldest got sick with the stomach bug going around. After being sick for a couple of hours, It was my turn! So I ended up sick all night and had to then drag my sorry tush off to an exam! :eek:
We are better this morning - going to bed at 9pm seemed to help me a lot. We will see how the kido is doing when she wakes up.
So, to add a familiar theme - its wrapping time! I have 2 days to make up for!

I don't know but I did send flowers to our Realtor and her associate for spending their last weekend before Christmas with us. At least there wasn't two feet of snow on the ground like there was last time we moved back there!
Back to wrapping.....
