I did have friends over Saturday night and told them I felt like cooking fancy...all new recipees from a "great inns of America" Book I received for Christmas. We had lobster pie to start (I won't do it again, all cream and butter and WAY to many calories and good taste but nothing very interesting). Then grilled marinated pork loin (which was good) but served over a sweet potato and corn hash that had red pepper, red onion, tyme, basil and rosemary in it...very, very pretty and really made the dish and the presentation....and then fresh fruit with sauce anglaise...(basically a custard sauce...not too hard but after a bottle of wine we're lucky we didn't have sweet scrambled eggs :)). Thus the eliptical this morning and for the rest of my life. Thirty minutes later and things are still wiggling...

Have fun today everyone!

ACK!! That time change has totally messed me up. I couldn't get to sleep last night and now I am paying the price. The kiddo's are out for teacher work day and monster-in-law comes in today. Maybe that is what really had me up, knowing there would be a white glove inspection today. :)
Off to finish scrubbing. Hey d---do a set for me, there is a little more jiggle than usual lately.

Oh, wow. Onaroll, can I have that recipe? Love the quote too. In our case, it should say, "....look down through the floorboards once in a while..." ;)

You should go for it ohio! My friend and her hubby trailer their bikes someplace fun twice a year and then spend a week exploring. They love it!

Hi LUV. I've only seen the previews for 300. Hubby said after my sorry display (sighing, drooling, etc) during the previews, there's no way he'd sit through the whole movie with me. It does look like a great story though.

Wow, what a weekend! We spent our Saturday traveling to Cedar Rapids, IA for an Honors Orchestra event for which my daughter and some of her fellow musicians were selected. It was an ALL day affair. While they rehearsed, we shopped and wandered aimlessly about the town. I did manage to expand my wardrobe. Then we went back to the school at 4:00 to get her for dinner then back for the performance. It was, of course, awesome and all the her fellow students were seated quite high in the sections. Guess our school has some talent! We left at 6:30am and got home at 9:00pm. Whew!

I've been wanting to see Wild Hogs. I love John Travolta! I'd also like to see "300". Anyone got a review of it? I like those big, majestic, historic kind of films. I actually was hoping it would be PG13 so the kids could go. My son especially enjoys the history of that old Roman/Spartan era.

Spring is finally arrived here. Sunny and 70 today!!! Opening those windows when I get home!

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

YUMMY MAPLE MUFFINS!!!
Went to see Wild Hogs with hubby on Saturday--he got to pick  the movie this time LOL!!It was funny!! All I could think of was my dad and step mom who every year ride their Harleys to Sturgis and stuff that happens to them--more then once they have gotten rained on and had to pull over and sit under a tarp like in the movie!! And girls flirting with my dad and my step mom refusing to get on the bike and ride anymore LOL!! My hubby has been hinting around that we need to take a road trip on our bike LOL--OH WAIT!! a week with no kids --what would I do LOL!!

Silver - thanks for the dust, but I think I might have used it all!!! It's DEFINITELY a Monday....aaarrggghhh.

Hubby used to have a '67 Chevy dumpbox he used on his family's farm. When I was at 9 months with our first girl (in the July heat) and couldn't take it any more I made him take me for a short bumpy ride through a field hoping it would start labor. Didn't work but I remember staring down and watching the field go by through those floorboards!

We went to see Terabithia yesterday and all loved it! The girls were great, just going with the flow of the movie while me and hubby were wiping tears. We both grew up in the country with fields and streams and lazy afternoons to play and it brought back so many childhood memories.

Well, time to get some work done. OH - almost forgot. New recipe, warm maple muffins for all. Enjoy!
