beignets--this IS a fairy tale---so I guess we can write what we want.
VTech--I pray to God that we are touching our children at our school so that they know in their hearts that there is goodness and never grow up with the kind of evil in their hearts that would allow them to commit such atrocities against another human. When I think that everyone of those killed and killing was once a little boy or girl with their whole lives ahead of them and for want of a positive influence one of them has had a heart blackened to the point where they could do such a thing. At school tomorrow I will seek out the least attractive and praise them, the shyest and hug them, the most angry and calm them and pray that it will make a difference.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.... officially 16" in my little town west of Syracuse. Hey, can't beat 'em, join 'em.
CC - good luck with the move. I'm with you on the attic thing. We moved a couple years ago to an "attic house" and it definitely curbs the clutter collecting!
Luv - roflmao, have to buy shoes to go with a wedding dress (for a wedding I'd rather not go to). Found shoes, now thinking...hmmm...maybe I'll just buy a new dress that would look better with those shoes. Yup - and a little purse too.
Some nice, warm, comforting, hot cocoa and marshmallows for all. And umbrellas and squeegies (sp?) for those of you with all that nasty wind and rain.
God Bless all at Virginia Tech.

so if you give your hubby a broom, he will ask for a pail, and a mop, and detergent,,,and instructiions for the ironing machine and washing machine and then a new iron w steam presser and the latest washer/dryer on and on???right???
Actual e-mail to my husband when he wrote telling me he had signed us up for a dinner event(If you're familiar with the If You Give a Pig a Pancake series you'll get it):
Well, now I have to go out and buy a new dress and if you buy your wife a new dress, she'll probably want some shoes to go along with it. If you buy her some shoes to go with the dress, she'll probably ask you for a new purse to match the shoes. Once she gets the new purse, she will realize that for the outfit to be really complete she will need some new diamond jewelry......
Happy Monday all! You wouldn't believe me good fortune this morning ~ logged myself into an eliptical today (or so I thought) and after 20 minutes I realized I forgot to finish the entry process so the last 20 minutes wasn't recorded! Notice I said good fortune ... trying not to switch my purple band to the other wrist this week!
I hope everyone is making it through the Noreaster on the East coast. Lets hope this is the last of the snow until winter. I finally committed to unpacking my summer clothes this weekend. (Hopefully that simple act doesn't jinx us.) After making the seasonal clothes switch (a.) I realized we need a run to Salvation otherwise my basement will be a sea of clothing and (b.) I need some shopping therapy bad! Why is it that as mothers we refuse to purchase new clothing for ourselves (everyone else first seems to be our motto) until all we have ratty stringy clothing? Well enough already! The cycle must stop with me ...
