tikes - I swear I must have had the same swing set and have pictures of that same storm! Too funny...

I miss my husband, he's been to all the furthest points in eastern and northern NY state in the last two days (literally!) and he won't get home 'til late tonight. And it's so dreary here today.
To top off today, my boss was actually in the office today. Does anyone think he remembered even a "thanks" since today is admin prof. day? NOPE! I think I'll leave early...

I realize baseball does not have offical cheerleaders per say but because I absolutely stink in sports I am offering to be honorary cheerleader for the game!
As children we had one of those aweful metal swing sets that began to rust the same season you purchased it. I can not figure out how we never came down with some form of metal/rust poisonous illness. Year after year my parents would paint the set a new shade of white which would begin the paint flaking process and we would spend a good spot of time peeling the paint. Of course back then the paint would have lead in it ... again another wonder why we never came down with lead poisoning. All this makes me wonder if we shelter our kids too much at times ... after all we have gone through as children with less saftey standards it's a wonder we are here. As a factoid - was at a well known store this weekend and found that stores today still sell the old fashioned metal swing sets.
