Thanks-- I loved the poem-- I'm going to try and put these together to give out at our meet the teacher night-- we will be having our kindergarten event before school starts-- so this is perfect.
Ready Confetti
The night before school is exciting and fun.
There are always so many things to be done.
Your clothes are ready, your backpack is too.
Your classroom is full of fun things you will do.
There are so many questions that go throught your mind.
All types of thoughts of every kind.
But sometimes we all get the jitters down deep.
And that makes it hard to fall fast asleep.
So I've made you some magic confetti, it's really quite cool.
It will help you be rested and ready for school.
Just sprinkle the confetti under your pillow in bed.
On the night before school starts where you lay down your head.
The confetti will help you sleep through the night
And you will wake up in the morning fresh and bright.
I'll sprinkle the confetti under my pillow, too.
And remember I just can't wait for school so I can see you.
nlcvp-- was there a message attached to the confetti--- like this idea and love the kissing hand book-- going to have to look for these possibly to hand out to everyone as a keepsake...
Hi, My youngest started kindergarden this year. It was the first ever breakfast. I enjoyed it.(Even through all the tears-lol) At this one there were door prizes. One was a t-shirt "I survived my child's first day of kindergarden". Also, "The Kissing Hand" was read, it's a story about a little raccoon that goes off the school for the first time. THe mother puts a kiss in the little raccoon's paw and closes it tight to be w/him the whole day. After the story was read we were told that our kids had just been read the same story in the classroom. (More tears-lol) There were "pocket" tissue on every chair. I felt that was a cute little moment as well.
Also, We were given magic confetti at open house to "help calm the fears and help the child get a good night sleep". My son STILL uses his confetti. We had to search for the bag last night before he would go to sleep.
we are doing our first boo hoo breakfast. i'd love to see a sample flyer and poem. Can you email them to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.?
