a teacher told me once, you dont have to BE the best, you just have to SURROUND yourself with the best, or something like that, and you will be effective at what you do. i also like this one:

lots of folks on these threads have the right attitude, and are nice enough to share their insights, so hopefuly the color will rub off a bit even in the anonymimty of the www.
Oh, see, now I'm blushing... And NOT because I'm thinking of Viggo (you go dfl!!!)
Thanks <a OK>! I'm just really, really lucky to be surrounded by smart people - and I pay attention and try to learn a thing or two along the way! That's why I'm here.... to learn even more!!!

crewchief, i take back my other post on another thread, you are probably *smarter* than thoreau was! "How you say things is always more meaningful than what you say." and all your points 1-6 should be front and center in any pto mgmt manual anyone here might write...could be a good idea for a school fundraiser, no? thanks for all your insights, it shows that youve been ptoing a long time and have succeeded in all the ups and downs it seems all folks posting here, have experineced. seems we all have more in common than different, vis a vis PTA/PTO expeeriences.
