I did not have a chance to talk to the VP in time. Our VP once again overstepped and this time got told off. The VP came to me and told me and I said I was surprised it hadn't happened sooner!! This has slowed the VP way down. I think my night mare is over.
Well, I had my meeting with the principal. It seems lots of people are feeling the same way I do!!!! I spoke with the VP and it was okay for a day. We keep catching the VP in lies. Things are staring to get ugly. This last lie is costing us money. There are parents planning on speaking up at the meeting. Hopefully, this will take care of everything.
A quick update, I have just recieved an email from our prinicpal asking me to come in and talk with him about the VP. She caused a huge problem with the teaching staff on friday. I'll update as soon as I can.
log- I forgot to answer your question. No- I haven't called them to ask directly, but that might happen at a board meeting soon. But I did the direct route fo finding out where the problem lied- I simply asked the school staff. I learned a lot from my discussions with the grade level teachers to know that my VP has a hidden agenda and it will be queld very soon. If you are doing a lousy job- the teachers will be the first to let you know, not your board!
Shadow, I agree with scottsmom about going to the principal and having a third party mediation with your VP. I think it is presumptious of her to suddenly declare herself President without the benefit of an election. If you have no negatives going against you and the members feel she isa problem, it may be time to vote her out.Make sure you have plenty of support for this decision, or it may not carry and you are stuck with Egozilla.
Well, let me update you all. Friday was a short day for me. My spirit coordinator was out and I focused on getting our Spirit Counts done before Picking up my daughter from her Charter Middle School(Early Out). So, our VP and Treasurer finally cut a check for our t-shirt orders that were to be processed last month, they had no problem going through my notebook to get the order forms. Now remember, my VP has a problem with people getting into other s' mail, mailboxes, etc., but sure-go through my stuff! Anywho- I had to explain that we got everything done and then the Queen(VP) asks for the invoice for our sample shirts. Like, the Order forms are our invoice, because we only got those samples we asked for-DUH? Then, later our Volunteer coordinator was so worried that people will complain about not getting a T-shirt, she was compiling a list at that moment, thus delaying the order another week. we'll see if monday is the day it finally gets sent for processing, but they will get the full credit of the delay- Trust Me!!!!! Also, Phase 2 is still in effect and Phase 3 will probably happen soon. I will not surrender to egomaniacs who hve delusions of granduer, especially my VP who was caught in lying to me. I suggest you get together with your principal and the rest of your board and make time to go over your concerns with her and let her know, if you haven't already, that you have been asked to fix the problems with her or replace her. Give her her list of duties. Make sure she knows what is not acceptable behavior, such as telling people she is the President. Then tell her you hope you don't ever have to mention it again because you know she only has good intentions. This has both worked and not worked for me but it usually brings about the change immediately. This time of year brings the most conflicts as the new members adjust to working together but hopefully it will all straighten out real soon for all of you.
