Thank you all for making me feel.... can't think of just the right word. Basicly, for liking my web site so much and telling me. After being a stay at home mom for 7+ years, I finally feel a sense of accomplishment (that others can see and enjoy). Oh, but that's a whole 'nother post in the social section.
Melissa your site is lookin' good. I like how you put a link to the forms in the volunteer section. That is something that I have to work on. One thing that I think you should also include on your site as a link is the Market Day site. I personally had never heard of this until reading through PTOtoday posts in the past. Probably because they don't have them here in California.
Another question for you Melissa.... how did you get to be the lucky one to make the web site? I see your not listed as an officer. Will you be doing a newsletter as well?
Amy ~ I plan on informing parents of the web site via word of mouth, emails, School Newsletter, PTO Newsletter (if I can get someone to commit to that project), Message board, and any backpack flyer that goes home with PTO info on it. One of the main complaints at our school is the lack of communication. I will be dedicated to keep the site up to date.... I only hope that the families use it!
librarymom ~ It is ADDICTING isn't it? I have been GLUED to the computer for the last 2 days. Why would your board have a problem with having a web page? It is very informative and "with the times". Just show them samples of the ones already made on orgsite.com (including mine... I don't mind you showing it off
~ hey I worked really hard LOOOONG hours on that thing.... the more eyes that see it the better
). Let us know how it goes, and when you get your site started be sure to share with us!
