They need to obtain funding before filing Chapter 11. They had one last possibility but the last I heard (April 5th) was that the process was delayed for whatever reason. No answer yet, so we are still waiting.....
Has anyone heard any further word on the status of Scrip Advantage? The last I heard, they had announced their filing of bankruptcy, but not actually filed. What's taking so long? The announcement was in December.
As you probably know, SA is expected to file bankruptcy in January. The article contains a link to a claim form that must be sent to the court where the bankruptcy is filed.
Today's issue of the Fresno Bee did report that SA will file for bankruptcy in early Jan. and that the company owes $6.7 million to schools across the nation. It goes on to state that the company still plans to compensate customers (I wouldn't hold my breath) and that they plan on reorganizing are restructuring and then offering customers ownership stakes in SA.
On another note, due to illness I have not been on this board in quite some time so I'm not sure what all has been said about Jennifer M., but I would like to say that she is a good person that has no blame in this situation. I think she is getting dumped on when in fact it is the Coyle's that deserve the blame. I truly believe that everything I was told by Jennifer was what she herself believed to be true. Jennifer went out of her way to help my school and I know she did the same for everyone she worked with. Her values and morals were obvious to me the very first time I met her. I know that the past few months have been stressful for her and I truly wish her the very best and I hope that everyone comes to realize what a good hearted person she is.
I got a voicemail on December 13th from John Boscero (spelling?) stating that he would send me an e-mail about December 22nd and to e-mail him back and let him know if I would be able to be there. I never recieved the e-mail!!! I am hoping that devine intervention occurs and we get at least a portion of the $12,000.00 that Scrip Advantage owes us.
How did anyone manage to get an email, voice mail or any kind of message from ScripAdvantage? I have been trying to contact them for weeks with no reply of any kind. Of course telephone is impossible. I have tried email to everyone I can think of, including the Fresno County District Attorney..no answers..guess with chapter 11 it doesn't matter much now anyhow. By the way, switched to Great Lakes Scrip and they are great.
