We used leaf blowers to blow the color off the kids before they went back into the school.

Hi lorian25,

A color run is a great event! Our article on organizing a fun run would be a good starting point--a color run has it's own twist, but this article will give you the basics of organizing a run: www.ptotoday.com/pto-today-articles/arti...organizing-a-fun-run

Also, we have free files you can download from our File Exchange and customize for your school for a Color Run pledge sheet, flyer, and racing bibs: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/document/1679-color-run-flyer

Good luck and let us know if you have more questions!

Rose

Did you ever do this? How did it go? We are looking at doing a color 5K for our middle school this coming school year and have no idea where to begin.

We go color crazy for our yearly run. Each grade wears a different color shirt. we have sno-cones and we sell sand art. the PTO rents the machine. we had a local sand art vendor that came out but they moved off. We now get our supplies from coloredsand . com. We send out a remind me (love remind me!) to let the parents know of the cost. Usually 1 dollar for the sno-cone and 4 for the sand art. we have 600+ kids so we average 250 son-cones and 350 sand art bottles.
