PTO President being a Parent Advocate was created by Try'n Soo Hard
I am in my 2nd year as PTO President and I believe heavely in supporting my parents as much as possible, in addition to making sure that the students and parents have FUN and get what is needed.

My problem is that I recieved a call from a parent that wants me to support her at a hearing. her child was suspended from school for 4 days due to appreantly talking in class. When I approched the principal, she immediatelt informed me that this was somthing I did not want to touch. I have decide that I am going to support this parent at the hearing. Does anyone have any tips? Also, the 4th grade child was suspended mid-week during ISAT/TERANOVA testing. When I asked the principal about this she said that make-up tests were being given the following week, but the child would never be able to take these test...implying that the child mentally, would not be able to get throught these test.

The hearing is tomorrow.....please help!

A PTO President in need of some guidance.
