scooby..... I would not go as far as to go to the police. I would be in the principals office asap not leaving until you speak.... I live in Cal & every employee's background is run... not to say this lady is not a real bi**h who has it out for you, she should not be working with children!!!!!!

At our school we have a couple mean yardduty ladies who are awful and should never work with kids. Many parents complain... You need to resolve this with this lady now!! I would 1st write a letter to the principal & super. then go talk to the principal, then call the lady & say you must speak to her. Tell her never to ever touch your child or she will be in jail!!! Then she'll know you mean business. Good Luck!!

Go Scooby Go! If you have written a note to the principal with no response, I would go to the police. Does your school perform background checks on these people? It never ceases to amaze me that the same laws that apply to classroom teachers do not necessarily extend to others who have direct contact with children. I wouldn't say go into attack mode (yet) - but definitely into protect mode. It is a shame that your children are in fear in a place that they should feel safest. Please keep us posted.

Hell hath no fury like a mother protecting her...wait a second, didn't I already tell MyKidsMom that? MKM has it right -- take the gloves off.

It might seem like a little thing to some, but the effect of constantly being the target of demeaning comments is that the victim comes to believe them. This is about protecting your kids self-esteem. You have every bit as much right to have this resolved as tcsew and her VP do for being the victim of racially insensitve remarks .

Scooby I would rather see you report this to the police and then take the report to the next school board meeting. If anything tell an officer your story (the WHOLE STORY) and see what they say. Obviously the proper channels are .......I better not say what I REALLY feel about this. Not only has she been slanderous to you but when it comes to yur family the gloves need to come off. I didn't want to suggest this but how much more can she feel she can get away with!!!

How does your other half feel about all this? How are your boys? I'm telln' ya Scoob, if she hurt them in anyway............may the force be with you.....

Go to next step and go to personnel. If that doesn't work go to the district. If it is a large district, they may have several district
"assistant" superintendants and you'll need to find out which one it is. Good Luck!

First of all PUT EVERYTHING IN WRITING with cc principal and person involved. If you don't get any responce, go to your principals boss again in writing as well as telephone and if needed in person. Finally go to the super. of schools and the School Board. Get other parents/teachers/bus drivers involved as well.
